Technical Information The Hinson CNS-RFID-1S is a robust industrial RFID reader and positioning sensor designed for AGVs, AMRs, warehouse automation, and intelligent material handling systems. Operating at 13.56 MHz and supporting the ISO15693 RFID standard, it provides reliable tag reading and writing at distances up to 150 mm, depending on tag type and operating conditions. The sensor supports configurable 4-byte and 8-byte data processing, RSSI-based 0-7 level signal strength detection, and stable tag recognition at relative speeds of up to 3 m/s. Five integrated LED indicators provide clear status feedback, while the IP65-rated enclosure ensures dependable performance in demanding industrial environments
Software, Interfaces, and Integration The CNS-RFID-1S supports multiple industrial communication protocols, including RS232-HS, RS485-HS, RS485 Modbus, CAN-HS, and CAN 2.0A, enabling seamless integration with PLCs, AGV controllers, warehouse management systems, and automation platforms. Flexible operating modes such as polling mode, card-reading trigger mode, and timed broadcast mode simplify implementation of positioning, identification, and tracking functions. With a wide 12-36 VDC operating range and straightforward connectivity, the sensor can be quickly deployed in both new and existing automation systems
