Automated ReBeL assembly process for shafts and rings with quality control

The ReBeL robot significantly optimises the assembly process for shafts and O-rings. Firstly, the ReBeL removes the shafts from a magazine and places them in a pneumatic shaft clamping device. It then picks the O-rings from the O-ring magazine using a special O-ring gripper, whereby the O-rings are supplied via a ring conveyor.

The correct assembly of the O-rings is then checked by a camera. Good parts are deposited in an IO box, while bad parts are sorted into an n.I.O box. The entire process is controlled by Robot Control, which ensures precise and efficient execution.

Before the introduction of the ReBeL robot, the O-rings were assembled manually by an employee. By using the ReBeL, it was possible to reduce labour costs by half an employee, which led to a significant increase in efficiency and cost savings.
